Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical company who commissioned us to conduct a market research study on how to review available due diligence data to check progress of molecule from approval to marketed product, ensure that supply chain is suitable for phase III supply and registration and acquire product at appropriate value in reasonable time period while minimizing risk.

our approach

Within the geographical areas of Germany and France, we conducted market research for the aforesaid research study. Primary research was conducted using IDI and CATI with business development personnel’s, R&D scientist, regulatory personnel and senior management. The secondary research was conducted using clinical trial registry, regulatory websites and product historical data.

outcome

The insights extracted from this research helped the client in improving negotiation and price by knowing the molecule’s market position, carrying out pre-bid and bid due diligence and product valuation through NPV. Following this study, the client could estimate the cost and time required to undertake the process development work, identify the strategy to support the supply of the product through phase iii, registration, launch and growth process and estimated cost of goods at launch and at peak sales to allowing the client to calculate net present value (NPV).
